When Does British Bake Off Start Again

Tonight is an emotional one. Non only have we said cheerio to Flavor 7 of The Bang-up British Broil Off but we also say a tearful goodbye to GBBO on the BBC, for good!

Who would ever take thought that the quirky, quintessentially British baking show would abound to the cultural miracle information technology is at present?

So earlier we blub Mary Berry mode, here are our 15 most emotionally charged moments that left us crying, gasping, shouting or howling with laughter at the idiot box.

Dorsum in 2013, the contestants were tasked with making a tower of biscuits that was at least 30cm tall. But disaster struck when Frances Quinn's tower collapsed as presenter Mel Giedroyc was measuring it. However Mel helped prop the biscuit belfry up (triggering the hashtag #humancakestand). It didn't practise Frances much harm though, she went on to win the show!

3. Nadiya's beautiful victory speech

Last year saw Nadiya Hussain crowned Broil Off champion and her spoken language will ever be remembered. Information technology was funny and touching and had Nadiya admitting that she would never put 'boundaries' on herself always once again. 'I'm never gonna say, "I don't think I can." I can and I will.'

Lip, Cheek, Skin, Forehead, Eyebrow, Community, Facial expression, Headgear, Neck, Wrinkle,

4. And Mary and Tamal crying over it...

Nadiya's spoken language was and so emotional, it even had Mary Berry and fellow contestant Tamal crying. And nosotros'll happily admit we were blubbing in front of the telly besides.

5. Enwezor admitting he didn't make his own fondant.

Who else let out a gasp when in Series five, contestant Enwezor Nzegwu revealed he used store-bought fondant rather than making his own? The baking crime prompted THIS expect from Mary Berry (and the kick from the tent that week).

The nation fell in dear with Norman considering he was always getting told his bakes weren't audacious enough. Merely how can you blame him when he thinks pesto is exotic?

xv. Bin-gate

If this isn't the well-nigh talked nigh, about controversial moment in Bake Off history, we don't know what is. Back in 2014 Iain Watters famously threw his Baked Alaska in the bin after it melted. The situation divided viewers - was Diana to blame for taking it out the freezer for forty seconds, or was information technology a goner already?

Either way, Iain made up for the fiasco by having a Broiled Alaska wedding block at his wedding ceremony this year. Adorable!
